Tertarik buat baca buku ini karena pas mampir di Goodreads lihat judulnya yang cukup puitis. Ditambah lagi sinopsisnya yang makin bikin tertarik. Gadis buta asal Prancis dan pemuda Nazi. Dari deskripsi kedua tokoh itu saja sudah memancing rasa ingin tahu (setidaknya bagiku). Aku langsung membayangkan star-crossed lover dengan setting Perang Dunia. Tetapi seandainya tidak ada unsur romance, cuma persahabatan pun aku tetap pingin baca. Perbedaan latar belakang kedua tokoh ini yang sangat mencolok pasti menghadirkan konflik tersendiri.
I have a thing for historical fiction. Itu juga salah satu alasan yang membuat buku ini punya daya tarik begitu besar bagiku.
